Melissa Major is a talented theatre artist from Toronto who will be featured in her one-person, multi-character absurdist tragicomedy, Unicorn Horns July 16-22nd 2007 as part of the IDEA 2007 World Congress of Theatre. The play will be presented in the 435 seat Shouson Theatre.

Directed by Aleksandar Lukac, Unicorn Horns tackles questions of love in the face of absurdity and deconstructs pop culture gender stereotypes. The androgynous wannabe actor, Quiche, wakes up one day to discover that his/her husband has turned into a flat man (as in paper-thin), a tragedy that occurs after Quiche's 714th unsuccessful audition. As s/he recounts the story of their love affair and marriage, Quiche tries to convince the audience – and her/himself – that the flat man is real.
