Began in 2002 by Melissa Major, The Cheshire Unicorn was created to produce new, innovative, absurd, political, smart, surreal and otherwise experimental theatre created by Canadian artists. It has produced some of the most thought-provoking and interesting theatre produced by an independent theatre company in Toronto. The company produces work on subject matters ranging from historical absurdist drama to modern surrealism.

Selected theatre credits:Musical Director of the Canadian premier of Jerry Springer: The Opera (Hart House), pianist for Breaking Into Song (Acting Upstage/Canadian Stage), assistant musical director for several productions at the Randolph Young Company, including the North American stage premier of Disney's High School Musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Footloose, and musical director/conductor for the Canadian Premier of Reefer Madness (Hart House Theatre). Lily is a faculty member for the Randolph Academy of Performing Arts Kids program and is completing a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance at the University of Toronto.
